Location with Cutthroat trout

This is a a legendary pic of my friend Paul Gonzales of Las Vegas, NM. I grew up fishing Morphy lake in the high Sangre de Cristo mountains at 8,000 feet above sea level. I have only caught stocked Rainbow trout but have heard tales of Native Wild Cutthroat Trout that enter through a natural stream traveling east from edge of the Pecos Wilderness. Paul was the first I have seen to catch one and it was 3 qtr inches off the state record as well! He was trolling deep with an old spinner that is a secret to locals.
