Location with Smallmouth bass

August 4th I spent the day on the St.Lawrence River fishing for the best 5 smallmouth our team could catch. We launched out of the Massena Intake damn. We bounced around all day and was able to put together a 17.45lb bag of smallmouth which was enough for a 4th place finish and a check! I caught all of my fish on a drop shot in 20-30 feet of water. I would have my hook approximately 15-24 inches above my 3/8oz WOO Tungsten drop shot weight. My drop shot plastic of choice was the Xzone original slammers in Pumpkin Candy and 309 color. My rod is a 610 ML Fast action 13 Fishing Fate Black 2nd generation with 15lb power pro as a main line and a 15 foot 8lb 100% flourocarbon Berkley Vanish
