Location with Black crappie
I shouldnt have ignored the signs. Heard reports of a great bite on the Econlockhatchee River last weekend. Since then we had a major rain Monday into Tuesday. According to the USGS website, water depth increased almost two feet and flow rate increased from about 250 cubic feet per second to almost 500. Instinct told me all that new water and flow would mess the fish up and have them off their bite, but I ignored my instincts and went fishing anyway. Instinct was right. It was a pretty day to paddle the river, but bites were few and far between and could only scrape up a few fish.
