Location with Largemouth bass
Competitive fishing is tough. Last night, I left work at 4:30pm and drove two hours to Mark Twain Lake in order to get in about 2 hours of fishing time to try to up my bag in a state kayak clubs tournament as well as a KBF state challenge. I launched the Vibe SeaGhost 130 and got to work. I only hooked up with two decent fish, but, every inch helps. The fish were biting on a t-rig using a 1/8 oz Swagger Tackle tungsten worm weight and a Grande Bass Air Tail Wiggler which I had rigged on my Fitzgerald Rods Aqua Dream. Once that bite slowed, I pulled out the Fitzgerald Vursa which was set up with a shakey head and they really seemed to enjoy the slightly different presentation. Same worm, just a different look. All of my reels are spooled up with Fitzgerald Vursa braid which I have become a huge fan of. Of course, just because I catch the fish, doesnt mean they want to stick around, which can be seen as this old girl tries to exit the Hawg Trough and make her way back into the water.
