Location with Largemouth bass

I had a good practice week followed by a nice tournament day on Lake Shelbyville for the BFL Illini Division event. My 11 lbs. 2 oz., 5 fish limit, slotted me in 14th place and scored a small check. Two 3/8 oz. Stan Sloans Zorro Spinnerbaits did the work for me: a blue shad, double willow leaf Aggravator and a Gizzard Shad, double willow leaf Bango Blade. There was only a 2 1/2 lb. spread from 1st to 14th.The lake was about 3 feet above summer pool and fishing flooded cover was the deal for me. It was one of the better, sustained spinnerbait bites I have been on in a while. Hats off to all of those who were up there competing!
