Location with Walleye

Where I grew up you never heard people talk about Walleye. And if you did it was in conjunction with a trip up north. I grew up in a place where panfish were king. Catfish had a small following and pike even smaller. You heard almost nothing of bass fishing back then. So when I moved and I was now surrounded by Walleye it only made sense that I would dedicate all my time to them. If I was fishing you better believe I was walleye fishing. But I think I got the walleye bug out of my system for the most part. Sure, I still love chasing them and the spring walleye run is one of my most favorite times of the year. But I have other species that I am now looking forward to chasing. But the biggest difference now is that instead of a species of fish, what really gets me excited is the chance to share my boat with a new angler. Maybe they are not new to fishing, but someone who hasnt fished with me before. Now, for me, what its all about is the experiences I get to share with others.
