Location with Largemouth bass

So these are some of my favorite photos because there is a story behind these fish. So all last year I had been frequenting this shallow canal that feeds into Lake DeForest in Clarkstown NY. The canal was only 15 feet wide and 4 feet deep but it held some huge yellow perch in early Spring and what I later discovered was huge bass in the Summer. Late August I noticed this huge bass with a botched tail just hanging in the shallows. So I dropped down a curly tail and he hit it right off the bat, which then I fought him for a bit and had my line snapped off. The next day I came back with braid and this fish was still hanging out in the same place. I hooked into him again and this time got him up to the bank. The water level was lover then usual so when I leaned down to get him he whipped his head and legit snapped my braid or at least untied the knot on the hook. Long story short I went head first into the canal in all my work clothes, shirt, tie, shoes, everything. Third time I returned I hooked him and he swam around a log and snapped my line. The fourth time I brought with me a net that extended and made sure my line was secure. I ended up finally catching and landing the same fish at 5lbs on a 4in brown senko. After that I wanted to continue fishing but I was out of rubber worms except for this random fake earthworm with two small hooks in it Ive never used before. I just slung it into the abyss for kicks and let it sink. As I reel it in I land another completely different 5lb bass. Literally was one of the best days ever this year by far. Whiplash is the one with the messed up looking tail.
